“Having been involved in the creative arts to varying degrees throughout my school and adult life, I have seen first hand the positive impact that they can have. When you join a performance group, of any kind, you become part of a family where the only focus is on the common goal. This creates a wonderful environment where people feel safe to express themselves in ways that they may not in their everyday lives, building confidence and self esteem. This is perfectly represented in the ethos of Atlas Theatre Company. The passion and dedication that Holly and her team show in their drive to make theatre accessible to anyone and everyone is inspiring, as is the number of lives that they touch with their work. In a climate where the arts are being sidelined in schools, it is wonderful that there is still an option for people (especially young people) to access them in the community.”
